It was all I could do, really… The Master Sword had been returned, but I still had to uphold the mantle of the Hero wherever I was. Therefore, those I love will always be in danger, because danger is attracted to me like a magnet attracts metal. As long as she was happy, that's all I really cared about…

He's been gone for a year…
A full year… And I haven't so much as heard news about him… Why won't he come home? I'm miserable without him! I try to hide it from our daughter, but I can't hide it from myself… For the past three-hundred sixty-five days, I've cried myself to sleep over him… Why did he leave?

Our daughter must be four years old about now… Her name is Rose, and she fits it well… She has to be able to make her happy… I never could… We'd always be thrust into some scenario where I would have to save the world, and life would be miserable…
