"No! Oh God noooo!" He yells in his sleep thrashing. She gets up, walks over to his side kneeling down placing a hand on the back of his. He jerks away.

"Darrin wake up." She says in a soft firm tone.

"I'm sorry."

"Darrin it's Sue. You need to wake up. You're safe." He remains asleep.

"It should have been me." Sue again touches him this time on his arm pushing it. His eyes open, before either can react Darrin pushes her away into the dresser.

"Sue! Shit!" It only took him seconds to realize what he had done.

"I'm fine." She attempts reassure him.

"I could've really hurt you." Darrin mutters slinging down onto the floor next to her.

"You didn't. You won't."

"I almost did. I can't lose you again."

"I'm not going anywhere. Flashbacks of Josh?" Sue knew the answer. It was always of Josh and the car bomb.

"God I should have done more…"

"Ssshhh. It's not your fault.." They sit in the dark in silence. Him afraid of falling asleep for the nightmares. She afraid of not being able to comfort him if he does.
