Hot Objects Picture Perfect (PRJF) (Original Posting Date: October 31st, 2008)
Theo was in his room, replacing his training uniform in his drawer, when a strip of paper caught his eye. Carefully he took it out and smiled, memories of simpler times playing in his mind.
"Come on, Theo," Lily said sweetly, laughing as she playfully ruffled his hair. "No need to be so serious all the time. Have some fun."
"I'm not that serious," Theo protested even as Lily undid the first two buttons on his navy blue shirt.
"You're wearing an ironed shirt, Theo," Lily tried to reason with him as she pulled the curtain closed.
"So?" he asked, not following.
"So?" she repeated, feigning exasperation. "Master Mao gave us the day off, which is a miracle in and of itself, and it's a beautiful summer day. I mean, look at how I'm dressed," Lily pointed out, making Theo shift his attention briefly to the bright yellow tank top, pale blue denim shorts and sandals she was wearing.
"Okay, maybe you're right and I should loosen up a bit," he conceded, looking away from his best friend.
"Good," she acknowledged, before she sat on his lap, "now let's get to work on that then."
"What are you doing, Lily?" Theo asked, his voice quivering, as she passed her arm behind his head, letting it come to a rest on his right shoulder.
"Just relax, Theo," she reassured him, completely aware that his shyness levels were going into overdrive. "Now, put your right hand, here," she said, taking his shaking hand and placing it on her thigh.
"Now just hold still," she told him, stretching her left arm out to drop her change in the coin slot next to them. When she was done, she placed her free hand on his and turned her face towards him, smiling brightly. "Now this can't be that bad, right?" she asked sincerely, drawing a broad smile out of him. Right then, they both broke into laughter and Lily turned away just instants before the first flash went off.
Looking at the photo prints, Theo wished he could go back to that moment, that day when he fell for his best friend, before things got complicated.
"Hey, Theo!" Lily called out as she walked into his room, pulling her hair back into a ponytail and pulling him out of his thoughts, "what are you doing?"
"Uh, nothing," Theo answered quickly, hiding the prints behind his back.
"How would you feel about going to catch a movie?" she continued, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear as she sat down on the edge of his bed.
Loosen up, Theo thought to himself. Smiling, he answered, "I'd love to go see a movie with you, Lily."
Before she could reply, Casey popped his head into the room. "You guys ready to go?" he asked.
"Yeah," Lily answered him as she stood up and started to walk to the door. "Coming?"
"In a sec," Theo said, turning back to his drawer. He took a last look at the picture, before putting it back in its place.
The perfect moment, he thought as he walked out of the room to join his friends, before things got complicated, back when it was just the two of us.

So, this would be my first foray outside of the big action epic. Any comments or suggestions to make future entries better will be greatly appreciated. Also, I'll be trying as much as possible to use objects actually featured on the show as a base for entries, like Mike's dogtags or Nick's blanket, etc. Object requests? Let me know!
