Bittersweet
How are you? I miss you more than life itself, I hope you know. It's
awfully hard on the emotions, remembering, sensing. It scares me
sometimes. I wish you were still here, heart of mine. I cried every
night for 3 months. Then there were no tears left. It hurt so bad. It
still does. Bitter am I, at this time. You would be proud, that I could
feel such a thing. Before you..... there was nothing. I was in a dark,
desolate place. You made me see how sweet it could be, this feeling.
But now it's bitter. Bittersweet. How ironic, that it was you who went
first. You were so good. You saw that I did wear a mask, just not one
that was somber. I know you know that I write to you every morning. And
leave this in our spot every eve. I wished to God you could be here.
It's hard to feel without you. We each made the other feel. My soldier,
my perfect soldier. I will miss you always. For now, I will take care
of Solo. You gave me the greatest gift before you left me here all
alone.
