-----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is an alternate ending to Sailorstars...what if the senshi had lost in their final battle against Chaos? What if Usagi had died in the battle? This is a story about Mamoru's reaction to the news...and it is a lot more dramatic and angsty than my previous fic. Please send comments to doinkchan@yahoo.com or review it on FF.net's review page.

"Endymion!"
The young prince in the battle armor rushed to save his princess from the evil monster.
"Help me, my love!"
The Moon had been invaded by an evil force. No one knew where it had come from.
Prince Endymion tried and tried to kill the monster but at each blow he was unsuccessful.
Finally, the princess flew out of the monster's arms and was floating toward a bright light.
"Serenity! SERENITY! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!"
Endymion grabbed onto Serenity's dress and tried to stop her...but it was all in vain.
Serenity was killed by the monster.
"Ring! Ring!"
Chiba Mamoru woke up, his face in a cold sweat.
"I was having that dream again," he thought. "The one where Serenity...I'd rather not think of it."
Mamoru looked at the picture beside his bed.
It was a picture of him and his beloved Tsukino Usagi, arms embraced around each other.
"That picture was of me...and her..." Mamoru thought. "Before everything happened..."
A few days ago, there had been a fierce battle between the Sailor Soldiers and Chaos.
The Soldiers had lost.
When Mamoru received the news, he was heartbroken-his beloved had died.
Mamoru still cried when he thought of that letter he had received.
He remembered it well. It was in his dorm.
He was just getting ready to go to a party when all of a sudden, the principal had called him to his office and had given him the letter.
He opened it immediately.
When he got to the part where it said "I am sorry that Tsukino Usagi has passed away," he felt tears creeping into his deep blue eyes.
He excused himself, saying he had to go to the bathroom.
But he really hid in the closet of the dorm the whole time, sobbing and crying for his beloved.
But that was the past, and this was now. So Mamoru went down to class, and tears stung in his eyes as he remembered the final sentence in the dream:
"Goodbye, Endymion. I'll be with you...forever...even when the Moon is gone, I shall stay with you...always."
