He remembered their times together and the closeness they once had. It broke his heart. He knew it was wrong to have fallen in love with his best friend's wife. But, who's to say who your heart had chosen to love. Mark knew she belonged to someone else, but, as much as he resisted her, he failed. It was against all rules, but, she was his forbidden fruit. He'd often wondered how it would be to have her with him. In his eyes, she was beautiful. There were days when all he could think about was Addison. He wanted her. He wanted the feel of their bodies pressed against each other. He needed to be in her. Marked by seemingly unreal perfection, like in fairy tales was what he wanted his life to be.

Then, it happened. It wasn't supposed to have been like this. He wanted her all to himself. Every second passed with them together made him loved her even more. You don't know what you're getting yourself into, he told himself. But, he took his chances and eventually suffered the consequences.

He told her he loved her and promised he'd never let her go. But, in the end she left. She was the reason he woke up everyday. His thoughts were of her when he first got up in the mornings and the last when he had gone to bed at nights. There was nothing more he'd wanted than to hold her in his arms.

He reminisced back to their first night together. Slowly, he wrapped his arms around her from behind. He held on to her tightly. He kept one secured hand around her and with his other he roamed down her front. He had thought for sure she would have fought him. She closed her eyes, inhaled slowly and exhaled even slower, her hands pulled his even tighter around her. After several minutes of silence, he turned her around, kissed her shoulders at first, moved her hair away and kissed her neck tenderly. Their lips fitted perfectly atop each other, with her slightly opened mouth, he slipped his tongue in. They had done a dance of love with their tongues as it swirled in unison, slowly, side to side, back and forth. He held out his hand to her. Their eyes locked for a moment and she carefully reached out as he led her into the bedroom.

Now, he had returned back into her life and was fully prepared for a fight to win the woman he loved. He found himself alone with her in the elevator. He caressed her cheek. She could feel his breath against her face and she heard his heart as it whispered.

"Hold me close and never let me go."
