A.N. Okay, this is the second story I'm putting up. Hope you guys like it.
Chapter 1: Meeting
It all started with a look. Sure, you think this is like what happens in fairy tales, where the fair maiden falls in love with her handsome knight in shining armor at a single glance. Well, you're wrong. This is no fairy tale. And there will be death. A lot of it.
Cloud walked slowly down the street, eyes downcast. He really didn't want to go back home. His parents would be fighting as usual. He would have to shut himself in his room just to concentrate on his homework, which he had a lot of tonight. This night was not going to be fun. He looked up suddenly, suddenly aware of someone watching him. That's when their eyes met.
Cloud was looking at a young woman, probably about the same age as him. Her long, black hair framed her deathly pale face. Her skin looked as white as marble against her dark clothes. But it was her eyes that transfixed him. Bright, piercing sapphire orbs that pierced his own. Then, she looked away and ran the opposite direction.
Cloud blinked. What had just happened? Who was she? He had never seen her before. He shook his head. Maybe it would be better if he just put it out of his mind for now. He needed to get home and get his homework done. He sighed. Being a high school student was a lot harder than it looked and sounded. There was a lot of homework, never ending projects, and, in his case, a terrible social life. Yeah, high school sucked.
