It's Okay
He thought about his partner, the one he had smiled at when he was scared, the one he trusted with his heart and feelings.
The one, who he had let leave to the next world.
He had never told him, never told him about what he felt the whole time. That affection he couldn't bare to keep a secret, those nights where he just cried with his face in his mind.
"I want…to continue your legacy."
The unmasked member shouted to the heavens, waiting for his other to answer his hysterical cries. He pulled at his chest, his cloak tattered and frayed from the fight with the missing-nin.
"If ever you loved me, just tell me…That it's okay."
He scrunched his cloak, where his hear lay under his indestructible skin. The same thing which kept him alive.
The same thing he would give just to see him happy once again.
Tears ran down his cheeks, he fell to his knees, grasping the ground and swearing that he would never forget him.
Ever.
He stood and dug his orange mask into the ground, along with a broken forehead protector, A Konoha forehead protector. He drew as circle around it, marking his partner's grave.
Uchiha Obito ran off into the pouring rain, unmasked.
"Deidara…"
He said one last time as tears continued rolling down his face, heading to the cave which held the other Akatsuki members.
The older Uchiha and the Hoshigaki looked upon his form, Itachi with an indifferent look and Kisame with his normal maniac look.
"You've returned."
Itachi said, looking as blank as ever. That was, until his partner fell straight to the ground. Itachi stood wide-eyed at his friend who had fallen.
Obito had just charged forward, blinded by rage. Until Pein blocked him, obviously concerned solely about his plans being disrupted if Itachi had died.
"Tobi stop-"
"I'm not Tobi. I'm Uchiha Obito."
Pein looked at him, his expression still in place. He held Obito's wrist and flipped him overhead. Obito cried out, still eager.
"Deidara never liked any of you!"
Obito screamed, charging towards their leader with an open, claw like hand. Konan, who was standing nearby had dropped a white rose on her way to stop Obito. Although, she had just been clawed through.
"Sorry, Tobi."
He heard his partner's voice ring in his ears, which made him madder than he already was. He fired his own Phoenix jutsu, since Pein was caught off-guard due to his subordinate's death.
Pein held Obito's hand, shaking him back to his senses.
"Who are you doing this for? You or Deidara?"
Pein countered, earning Obito's attention as he evidently stopped to reply. He turned his head, tears rolling down his childish face.
"I…Tobi doesn't know."
He truly was returning to what he really was now, He was Tobi…wasn't he? He had murdered two members, just like that.
Was he a monster?
He stood on the chair, brooding over his fellow Akatsuki member's deaths. The rope was around his neck now, he closed his eyes.
He wanted to join his lover in the other World.
"Tobi…It's okay."
A familiar voice called out, It was him. He stood there, he wasn't hallucinating! Obito reached out to run towards the blonde but…
"TOBI!"
