He Took The Pain Away
Yes, it is true. The two of them did once love each other in their own ways. Gabriella loved him for the way he was always there for her troubling times. She knew he was trouble and no good, but it was that feeling of hurtful joy that she admired about him.
The razor seemed to be the only one she knew wouldn't leave her when push came to shove. It was a chance meeting for the two of them. Gabriella was lost, hurt and alone after what had happened with her classmates.
"She is such a slut!" or "I heard she did it with the entire lacrosse team" were just some of the rumors whispered around her school hallways.
Maybe if she had been smarter, maybe if she hadn't let her best friend's boyfriend get her drunk that video would never have happened. Now it's out, for all the world to see.
She just wanted to sleep the life away with a bottle of pills in her bathroom medicine cabinet. That's when she met Numan, just lying in there with no connection to the outside world. She picked him up, and the scars he began to create made her feel better. It was love. Now, everything has gone wrong.
People started to notice the "love marks" on Gabriella's body. Some have ignored them, others whispered about them till the story got to Gabriella's home. They screamed, and cried about Numan, about what he had done to her. The mother wanted to send her away, an aunt perhaps, but the older sister wanted to have her stay and get help.
Now, a dark cloud has fallen upon Gabriella. "I love you", she spoke before kissing Numan one last time. The two of them collided one last time, edge to wrist, ending in what Gabriella thought was a peaceful bliss. The red tears flowed down her arm and hand, her body trembled as she fell to the bathroom floor. A darkness appeared before her but she could only smile. The sister was the one to find Gabriella, and Numan laying on the ground, emotionless, and motionless. She had ended the relationship with Numan the only way she knew how, and now there was no more chance of hurt in her life. It was over.
