-1"I don't understand why you won't show us the entire map. That way we could deduce ourselves which path to take to the cave of the Red Dragon to retrieve the golden Snitch. Like the river we're due to cross any minute, by using a ____ we would know whether it would be more beneficial to cross here or say further along the riverbank." Charles Epps argued his point, he believed, rather well, but had not sway Megan on her position.
"That's not how it works," Don attempted, once again, to convince his younger brother before something heinous happened.
"Nonsense Don." Charlie was not to be deterred and the group sighed collectively but the CalSi professor ignored the sound. "We have the map. Right there." He pointed to the pile of papers Megan currently had her elbow resting on. "It tells we, roughly, the depth of the river at any given point, the height of the canyon walls, even the location of our enemies. So why Megan won't you let us see it?" Everyone looked to the blonde in question, seeing the steam blow out of her ears. The innocent bystanders, which consisted of the rest of the FBI group along with Amita and Larry, now knew how an invert tangent function that has approached its asymptote felt. (a)
They didn't wish to be anywhere near Megan when she popped her cork, nor, however, did they wish to be within shrapnel distance of Charlie when Megan unleashed her wrath. For a few minutes, which seemed like eternity, the room was utterly quiet, until, rather foolishly, Charlie broke the silence.
"Well?"
"Charlie, roll reflex," everyone san Megan and Charlie flinched, this was gonna hurt.
Not understanding this significance, the mathematician did as he was told. "Let's see, rolled a three plus an aided three makes six." Again the group flinched. This was gonna hurt, a lot.
"I'm sorry Charlie you failed to dodge out of the way. The Big Book of Rules has landed on top of you. Your gnome is stuck until you can tell me one of the most important rules you insisted on forgetting. Game Dismissed." Megan slammed her binder shut and collected her things before leaving the conference room of the FBI.
Charlie was utterly flabbergasted. What had he done wrong? He asked this aloud, and Colby replied, "Dude, as Game Master, Megan is God."
