His visit startles me. We rarely see each other off-base, I can count on one hand the number of times he's been to my house.
His appearance is a surprise too, his normally closed-off face dancing with emotion I can barely comprehend. He stands in the doorway looking at me for the longest time before he moves.
I expect him to brush past me but he simply stands in front of me. He moves swiftly; hands cup my face, thumbs caress my cheeks, lips descend to mine.
When he kisses me, I'm powerless to refuse him.
I want this too.
