The End of Her Life:
Donna Nobel was and probably is the greatest and most important assistant the Doctor has ever had. She was funny, smart, a bit mouthy, but she cared about people even people that were not her own species.
It's a shame that she wasn't allowed to remember anything about her adventures.
On the day of her 95th birthday it came as a shock to find out she would die in less than a week. She was probably the healthiest person on the earth. Her family was near her till the end. Almost.
The hour before her death, a man entered her room ushering her children out. The man was wearing a dark brown suit, her knelt by her bed holding her hand.
"Donna I'm so sorry, you should have lived much longer than this," the man quietly sobbed.
Donna opened her eyes slowly and saw the man who had plagued her dreams so often that past week, she raised her hand to stroke the messy mop of brown hair.
"It's ok, I know who you are, and I wouldn't have traded anything for those adventures we had," Donnas' torso rose of the bed in agony "In my last moments I want you to remember something, even though I've lived a life different to the one I planned. I have been very happy. So thank you Doctor, thank you for everything," and with that Donna Nobel the greatest of all the doctors assistants died.
When her last breath was gone the Doctor disappeared from her house away from earth.
30 years later:
The statue of Donna Nobel still stands tall in the centre of London; it was donated by a Samantha Jones (Martha Jones' great granddaughter) and UNIT in honour of her great deeds, it could only be erected after she died. A command set by the great Doctor. The inscription on the bottom said
'For the woman who gave her memories
Who gave her life for this world
We thank you'
Every year after that statue was built a dozen roses would appear without fail and there would always be a note 'I'm so sorry' would be all that it would ever say.
I hope you've enjoyed reading this. The idea came to me while I was watching 'The Runaway Bride' of Doctor Who. Please review or flame which ever you prefer but I'll still give you cookies ^_^
