Cyber-Bully

Juliet once asked; 'What's in a name?'

She would compare her sweet Romeo to a rose

I doubt Juliet could know how far mankind's cruelty goes

A phone call, a status post, a comment or even a picture.

These are all methods of communication,

Often we use them to talk to friends and family,

But they can do much harm

Jealousy, anger, betrayal, and hatred;

Such dark feelings are not uncommon

However must be strictly guarded.

Like the titans, most of us keep them locked away.

To allow escape would condemn not only our souls but our worlds as well.

Technology has made our lives easier but it has also bred new threats.

Spiteful rumors indicate a victim; but none may know the aggressor.

It is the perfect crime, difficult to track and impossible to erase.

When presented with another human being it is only those who truly despise one another, who speak out of turn,

But a computer, such a simple device…

'What's in a Name?' Names are names, true or not, the wrong name can hurt and hurt deeply.

Why is it that in our digital worlds,

We say things that would otherwise be unsaid?

Remember to treat others how you want to be treated.

A word once released can never be captured again

Just because one can doesn't mean one should.

Bullies are no longer limited to playgrounds

Beware the Cyber-Bully
