Lily was walking through the castle grounds with Severus Snape smiling, while walking behind her. This moment could not be any better Severus thought to himself. For I am with Lily.
"Sev., there is something I have to tell you," Lily said, interrupting Severus's thoughts.
``is it something nice`` asked Severus.
``not really`` replied Lily. "Well, actually is hold have told you this sooner, a lot sooner, much before our fifth year at Hogwarts. `` Lily grabbed Severus's arms and pulled him down as to sit on the white bench beside her. Lily noticed the shiver that ran up Severus's arm as she touched him.
''Are you cold''
``A little`` replied Severus, glad that she hadn't realised what the shiver really meant. ''As you were saying''
``This is hard, I mean, what if you never want to talk to me ever again, or or ...`` Lily's voice broke, and Severus realised she was evidently worried about something.
``tell me, nothing is that bad that I would never want to talk to you again, well, unless you are going out with James Potter." replied Severus.
``No! I would never go out with that, that Jerk!" Answered Lily, "I've seen how he treats you!"
``Than what is it`` asked Severus, trying hard to hide his relief.
Lily looked up at Snape, looking him in the eyes, watching him very carefully ``Promise that you will forgive me for not telling you sooner``
``I Promise``
Lily sighed, ``I guess you'll want to know what it is now``
``Yes`` Severus implored
``I love you Severus`` Lily burst out, just before starting to cry.
Severus took a moment to grasp this thought. All this time he wondered to himself, I should have told her, though, she is the brave one. Severus smiled at his own joke, than he remembered Lily." I don't understand why are you crying''asked Severus.
``You must hate me`` Lily cried out.
Severus put his hands on her waist, causing a shiver to go down her spine. Severus saw a sudden realisation in her eyes of what happened earlier. ``I love you too, `` and then, without thinking, without planning it Severus kissed her. Severus felt Lily's arm grasp his neck tightly. It felt like they would never break apart. Then Severus realised he had a question. He let go of her waist and let her realise what he wanted. Her eyes sparkled with happiness as she looked at him, and if it weren't for his question he couldn't have stopped himself from kissing her again. ``how long has it been``
Although he didn't say much Lily understood what he meant. ``I have loved you ever since I saw the way you looked at me, and how you understood me, and you were there for me when I needed you``
``Ever since I first saw you, you eyes caught my attention, but then I also fell in love with you personality, and well, everything about you really." replied Severus. And without a question to stop him, his lips landed on Lily's yet again.
