Yay I'm so happy I got DM2 as it has inspired a lot of new ideas like this one plus so did reading the series Minion Shorts on here since these are gonna be a series of stories about the Minions during this upcoming year, 2014.
In this first story, it's New Year's Eve and there's a lot of partying going on in the Gru house and the Minions are excited especially Dave and Kevin!
It was the thirty first of December and New Year's Eve in the Gru house meaning an new year was beginning for the Minions and it had snowed again making Dave excited meaning snow fun would ensue getting dressed in warm clothes, since it was too cold to go outside in their overalls.
He saw Kevin already up as they were having a pillow fight and laughing because it was funny running downstairs into the kitchen making Lucy chuckle knowing he had to eat breakfast and put warm clothes on first, making Kevin annoyed.
"You don't want to get sick and miss out the fun right or the party?" she said.
Since it was New Year's Eve, Gru and Lucy were throwing a party but the Minions were going to have their own in the lab and count down to midnight making both Dave and Kevin smile.
"Nope but too tempted to go play now!" Kevin said.
"We won't start without you, I promise." Dave said seeing him hug him.
Lucy smiled seeing Dave go outside while Kevin was eating pretty fast for a Purple Minion making Gru disgusted since he was making a mess.
"What have I told you before about that?" he said.
Kevin sighed putting on a black sweater despite his body being covered in thick purple fur which he had argued before but lost this battle before.
"Go play but come in if you get too cold." he said.
The Purple Minion smiled as he ran into the snow covered backyard seeing the girls outside as they were having fun hearing his brothers talk about the party.
"Well I wanna dance with Dave but it's complicated." Kevin said.
Phil understood since he was like this with Jerry but it was innocent and were having fun playing in the snow since Edith was starting up a game of battle tag but were getting too cold and coming in as Lucy was making hot chocolate.
"Hey guys and guess you had fun." she said as they nodded.
"Yep but the party's later right?" Dave asked.
"Yes because Gru, the girls and I are going to the neighbourhood party later" she said.
They nodded going to get ready.
Kevin was already getting ready for the New Year's Eve party and putting on a purple and black tux and a top hat looking handsome and adorable spraying cologne on him getting excited hearing Jerry warming up the decks and smiled knowing they were starting soon once Gru, Lucy and the girls were leaving for the party and saw Gru there but were entering to the lab and were having fun, dancing and eating.
Dave smiled as they were dancing and he was drinking wine making Kevin smile since they were eating ice cream sundaes and having a blast but saw it was almost midnight counting down to midnight and cheered as it was midnight.
"Kampai!" they yelled as things were getting crazy.
Dave and Kevin needed some fresh air and were sitting on the prch looking at the moon.
"It's a beauitful night and a special night." Kevin said.
"Yes it is and the party was fun as usual." Dave replied.
They were just star gazing like always, like when Dave had done it with that alien pet before he let him go, and Kevin and him made the heart shape they had made at the wedding with their right hands like at the wedding, but humming.
