A small drabble about Karax.

Honestly, I grew to like the character, and I felt inspired to write this.

'Whatever is written like this' - their speech.

"Whatever is like this" - internal thoughts.

The fate of Aiur laid in their hands, of that much he was certain, as he tinkered with the Keystone. Its' energy waves were pretty much fluctuating, as he tried to figure out the exact source this artifact was based on. "There is nothing that will stand against the might of a phase-smith." he thought as his hands were steadily examining the stone, while the Purifier Fenix kept watch - he didn't know much about the artifact, but was convinced, much like Artanis, - that Karax will find a solution.

The light of the solar core dawned on the Protoss' almost tired face, when the doors to the chamber suddenly opened, and Hierarch Artanis stepped in, his footsteps resounding. The young leader of the Daelaam had a daunting task to fulfill, but knowing that Protoss like Karax will do all it takes for the final goal made his eyes spark with hope, as Zeratul had told him. "The Keystone will usher you unto hope."

'Karax. How goes your progress with the Keystone?'

'Hierarch.' his eyes shone a little, 'The Keystone is still a puzzle, but I shall not give up on it. My research shows that it reacts to Void energies, but it isn't supposed to be a host.' Karax added as he gestured towards the ancient artifact.

'I have faith you will find the solution, Karax.' Artanis said as he placed his hand over his armor, next to the khaydarin crystal embedded in it. 'There can be no doubt about it.'

'You are truly honoring me, Hierarch. I shall use my entire expertise.' Karax assured Hierarch Artanis as their eyes were shining with the same thought.

"Amon shall not prevail."

The Phasesmith was closely examining a few schematics for the Spear of Adun, while Artanis was content to walk closer to Purifier Fenix, whose radiant orange goggles shone in acknowledgement. 'Hierarch. These memories of Fenix are intriguing...so much to recall, and yet, so little is known.' the Purifier said as his movements were calculated.

'Friend, I know things are difficult for you. But I am honored you're standing by my side in these dark times.' Artanis said, his eyes shining stronger than before.

'Amon's will is nothing but darkness. We will stand together.' the Purifier Fenix said, as his blades unsheathed for a moment.

'Pardon the intrusion, Hierarch.' Karax said as Artanis turned to face him, 'but the energy readings are stronger in here.'

'Amon.' Artanis said. 'We shall march to victory, for the Daelaam.'

'Shalala arai Daelaam.' Karax chanted as well.
