Chapter 1 - Born to be a Hero

A young woman about 30 years old stood and looked down at the baby below her. This child unknowing to her would be a Hero of her world know as Jetcat by the age of eight. This hero will fly like a jet and fight like a cat.
'Melanie you're so beautiful", Said the woman.
The baby looked up at her and smiled. Lifting her arms up to her. The woman picked her up and held her. "Melanie if only your father was here he was a great man".
The father of Melanie was killed 3 months before her birth in a car crash that took his life leaving his wife and unborn baby behind even that would not hold back the hero to be.
Seven Years Later.
Melanie watched as a couple of older boys picked on her friend Todd. But this would be the last time she though. She walked over she was no taller than Todd and the three boys were about a foot taller than her. "Leave him alone", said Melanie with strong voice.
"Hey look the boy has a hero", one of the boys said.
"Mel get out of here", said Todd.
"What you gonna do about small fry".
Everyone looked on at them.
"This',. She ran forward taking one of the boys down the one that was picking on Todd looked at the girl who had taken down of of his pals. He swag at her but something told her to move and she did so and grabbed his arm and punch him and knocked him out cold. She couldn't move after what she had done but at the some time a couple of teacher come and looked at the kid out cold and Melanie with her fist out. "Hey you" the teacher called.
She unfreeze and looked just to slowly back up.
The teachers begin to walk over but Melanie took off running off.
At the Lake.
Melanie looked at herself in the water it had been about an hour snice what had happened and still could not believe it. "Mom I don't know what is becoming of me first this and waking up falling back into my bed".
She thought of the comics she had read. "Or i could have powers".
She stood up and walked over to a tree she stood there and looked at it what she was about to do would be the dumbed thing she could think of doing but it had to be done to see if this was real. SHe pulled back her arm and took a big swing, the tree come down with a big crush. She looked at her hand in awe of what she had found she know something was to come of what was happening and having superpowers was not one of them."Wonder if i….". Without finishing what she was saying sh took flight.
SHe was going over the tree and she come to a stop at the other side of them and landing on the ground. Then she sat. "I need a name, I can flight like a Jet and I like Cats, Um…..Oh JetCat or CatJet Nope Jetcat".
"I Fly like a Jet and Fight Like a Car".
"Now it's time to get home before it gets too dark to see".
As Melanie walked into the house she found her mom sitting on the couch. "Mom',she said.
The woman stood up and looked back to see her daughter there . She run over and gave the girl a hug. "Melanie Ann McCay",. (note Made up a Middle name)
"Mom i am sorry".'
She looked down at Melanie and saw she was sorry. "Ok but you are grounded for a month".
"Two weeks for running away and Two weeks for hitting a kid".
She hugged her doughter "You scared me going missing like that but I know you were going to come home".
This would start the Hero's time and form that day as you will see she would keep the town adn the world safe.
