Time To Say Goodbye

Albus stared at the beautiful blond standing next to him. The Sun was setting across the lake and soft ripples made their way to the two boys.

"Have you ever been there?" Scorpius asked. The dark-haired boy tipped his head towards him.

"Where?"

"The end of the ocean." He said this so soft, so dreamy, that Albus wondered if he hadn't been talking to himself. However, after a few seconds of silence he brought his eyes up to meet Al's.

"I don't believe such a thing exits."

"It does. You know, that part where if you go any further you'll fall right off the Earth and into..."

"Into?" But Scorpius shook his head and looked once more at the setting sun.

Paesi che non ho mai
Veduto e vissuto con te

"Maybe I can take you there someday." Al laughed before he could stop himself.

"Would your father really like that?"

"That's the point of the end of the ocean. No one can find us."

Adesso si li vivro
con te partiro

"Come with me." He felt Scorpius' lips at his ear, whispers so soft and gentle. He was always so soft and gentle.

"I can't." Al stood, the sun bright in his eyes, and turned away from his companion. Love was not meant for them. The end of the ocean would have to wait for someone else. Everything told them that they weren't meant to be together. Al wanted to wonder off the edge of the planet and never find his way home, because home was too confusing a concept to him.

Su navi per mari
Che io lo so
No no non esistono piu

"Wait," He felt a pair of arms wrap around his middle, constricting him. Scorpius had his lips at the other boys ear once more.

"It doesn't have to be like this. We can run away."

"To what? What kind of life can we have without here, without home, with...family?" Tears dripped down his face and Scorpius pulled him into a hug.

"They are refusing us, not the other way around. We don't have to live their life, only our own."

He brought Al's face to his, pressing their lips together gently, passionately. For one split second Al saw what the world must be like through his eyes: No regrets, just love, and freedom.

Con te partiro
Io con te

Scorpius pulled back and brushed a lock of black hair from his green-eyed lovers face. He pressed their foreheads together and turned them to face the pink and golden sun.

"How about it? Would you like to see the end of the ocean with me?"

Time to say goodbye
To countries I never
Saw and shared with you
Now yes, I shall experience them.
I'll go with you
On ships across seas
Which I know
No, no exist no longer
I'll go with you, I with you.
