My name is Shadow the Hedgehog and I am the worlds ultimate life form. No seriously, despite what you might hear from a certain blue hedgehog who's name shall remain anonymous, It is all true. Especially what I am about to tell you. It all started on the Space Colony ARK. I was about 12 or 13 when it all started. I was constantly surrounded by scientists and their assistants. My only true friend on the ARK was Maria Robotnik. Ah Maria, so beautiful, with her long blonde hair and her shiny blue eyes, it's no surprise that I always admired her. The doctors said there was no possible way I could love, but I tend to disagree with them even now. But they say that love never lasts. And in my case it was true. For just as I realized I loved her, they attacked. G.U.N. The Goddamn government attacked thinking they were making some sort of giant lizard. At the time I didn't know what was going on, but I knew something was wrong. At one point I asked Professor Gerald what was going on and he said that I was going to go on a trip to Earth. I asked him when I would be coming back and he just kicked me out. The next time I saw him, he was dead. I walked down the corridors to Maria's room. I walked in and it seemed like she was packing her things. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was going to go some place and we may never see each other again. I asked her why and then she started to cry. So I asked her why she was crying and she tells me not to worry about it. Then all of a sudden, a bunch of soldiers bust in and start spouting out orders. Maria shoves me into a tube and tells me not to worry. Then she gets shot right in the chest. I was so shocked and angry that I didn't really hear her last words. All I knew was that these humans had taken my only friend away from me and all I wanted was revenge. Then the pod started moving. And off I was on my way to Earth. It seemed so beautiful and yet so evil at the same time. A ship passed me, then I felt a pulling sensation and before I knew it I was asleep. When I woke up, things would never be the same.
