I have lost my mind

A short poem from Harry's thinking in regards to Dumbledore/Voldemort, but it could be from/to other characters as well. It's open to interpretation, so make what you like of it.

A/N: I got bored and this popped into my head. I think of it as Harry to Dumbledore and/or Voldemort, but it could also be from Draco and/or Snape to any of the above.

It doesn't matter how much pain I hide,

Or how I always ache,

It doesn't matter that you've lied,

I know that it's all fake.

I see rainbows when I close my eyes,

And darkness in my open mind.

Now I don't know who I am,

Life is clear as day,

It's a madman's never-ending scam,

And I don't want to live this way.

I see shades behind closed eyes,

And people chatter in my mind.

Now listen closely all you ghouls,

And demons of the night,

We humans are just foolish fools,

Blinded by the light.

I see nothing with my open eyes,

And eternity is in my mind.

I know now what I must do,

But time is running out,

It's good that this isn't new,

For now I have no doubt.

I see him with my eyes,

And feel him with my mind.

Now the time has come,

To say goodbye my friend,

I'm glad that I am finally numb,

For now it is the end.

I see life fading with my eyes,

And feel death inside,

Well what do you know,

I have lost my mind.
