I laid there in agony,
As my child fought to be free.
I came in and out of reality,
All I wanted now was Edward close to me.
I felt the pain of his first bite,
I tried not to scream with all my might.
My vision blurred between dark and light,
I felt the venom, and hoped I'd survive the night.
My heart stopped and I was still here,
I opened my eyes and saw everything clear.
But what I wanted most was to be near,
My child and Edward, whom I held dear.
But then I felt the hunger pang,
The voice in me clearly sang.
We went to hunt and I tasted the blood's tang,
As I bit into the deer with my new fang.
I could finally see my child,
My mind raced and went wild.
Reneseme looked at me and smiled,
I basked in the glow of my beautiful child.
