The break up

Leah pov

It was cold outside even though the sun was out and a sky cloud free. I had a feeling something bad would happen, but not this. "Anything but this!" I begged in my mind.

The day had started out happy, but I had a nagging feeling in the back of my mind I just couldn't get rid of. Today was my wedding day! Yes, I Leah Clearwater was about to married! And not to just any one, but to my high school sweet heart, Sam Uley! Everyone knew we would end up together in the end, get old and have children, maybe get a Jr!

Everyone was invited! Even my cousin, who I prefer as sister, would come and celebrate! She didn't make it to the rehearsal, but she promised to be there for the wedding! Did I mention she was the maid of honor? Well she is! And I have a good reason to be nervous! What if she's late! What if she doesn't show up at all! Then what will happen!

Calm it Leah! My inner voice screeched. You're getting married today even if Emily isn't here!

I counted to ten and but on a happy face. I heard the wedding march and prepared to walk down the aisle. Here we go.

When I walked down the aisle and saw Sam's face I thought my heart would explode! He had on a cheesy smile looking down at me with complete adoration.

The priest dude drowned on like a history teacher, all I cared about are the does! "So do you Leah Clearwater except this man to be your husband for good and for worse to death do thou part?," he finally asked. "I do."I said without a moment of hesitation. I looked up to Sam. . . . . . . . . . Who wasn't looking at me?

No instead he was looking at the back door entrance. Emily, who looked a bit breathless from the run over, scurried her way over next to me. She looked to me and smiled and then turned to Sam and froze. They just looked at each other! To say I was mad was an understatement. I was devastated, I knew what would happen.

"And do you Sam Uley except this young lady as your wife for better or worse to death do thy part?" Sam still didn't look away from Emily. I snapped my fingers in his face three times until he'd look at me. When he did all I could see was guilt. "No."

And this is where we are now. I ran out of there, and the sad part was, no one came after me.

I ran to the high cliffs and let the wind dance along my hair. I cried. I cried that he didn't love me. I cried because he said no on the wedding day. I cried because I knew that this was Emily's doing. Right when she entered the room Sam couldn't lay his eyes off her! My own cousin would be the one to take him away from me!

Well she can have him! The next few days she kept distance away from her cousin and ex almost husband. Rumor was they were dating! Sam came to here house once to retrieve his stuff and return hers. The only thing he didn't give up was here heart. Leah made a promise to be different. If people didn't love this Leah maybe they'll like the new one. Good luck world, here comes Leah, but this time without a heart.
