A/N Hello! This Prologue (or First Chapter, depending on what you see) will be jumping around a lot. It will be confusing, but all will be explained if you stick with the story. The chapters won't always jump around this much, this is necessary for the story though. Please don't quit reading because of the jumps, this is for the prologue ONLY. Thank you. A long time ago, monsters were trapped in the ruins. They called out to the monster king, asking for revenge on all monsters. Mettacrit, a friend of the King of Monsters, was the only one in opposition. He spoke out passionately for the monsters. Over time, Metta won them over on the idea of kind humans. The King and the Prince praised him for bringing an age of peace. The Underground was full of hope.

Once upon a time, a very, very long time ago, humans and monsters lived together happily on the surface. They ruled the surface together. They got along, and humans, monsters, and magic users were happy. However, one day war broke out between the two races. After a prolonged battle, humans were declared victorious. They sealed monsters underground with a magical spell. Monsters wait now, underground, waiting for their shining angel to rescue them from their hell.

You awake in a pile of the golden flowers, oh so familiar to you. It was the same as the other runs, you thought in disgust. You had hoped it would be a new story, but your hopes had failed you. That voice really didn't have a new story in mind for you. You continued down the path oh so familiar to you, waiting to encounter that…
Flower?
Prologue complete. You can see this as either a reader, or as the Undertale dialogue pattern used a lot in the game (You are filled with DETERMINATION, ect.). Thank you.
