I'm gonna admit, this isn't as good as the last couple, but whatever. I have a cold. This was inspired by Benny Goodman.

Karin surfed through the different channels, finding absolutely nothing that appealed to her tastes. There never was anything on Friday nights, other than dirty movies, and stupid music videos from rap artists.

Her incessant flipping was staring to drive her siblings nuts, so they each left the living room, going seperate directions.

Karin continued to change channels, and finally turned off the television. She wound up in the attic, which they'd turned into her bedroom about a year before. She'd requested it, because Yuzu was always listening to rap music, which she detests, and doing something or another that bothered her.

They were hitting that age that they fight about everything a bit late.

Karin picked up her mp3 and her oversized, zippered sweatshirt, and walked downstairs and out of the house.

She turned her mp3 to something by a foreign artist; Benny Goodman, Sing, Sing, Sing.

A few minutes into her walk, she ended up at a small book store-coffe shop combination, and walked in to find almost every seat filled, except for one in the back. It wasn't completely empty, but it was someone she trusted; a friend of Ichigo's. She couldn't remember his name for the life of her, but she remembered that she'd dubbed him Old Man.

She flopped down in the seat after buying a cup of coffe, and grabbing a magazine off of a rack by the barista. She was surprised she didn't earn any weird looks from him.

Maybe he didn't notice; he seemed to be busy typing on that laptop of his. Probably that assignment Ichigo had been talking abut at dinner. Apparently, college assignments are killer.

She wouldn't really know, seeing as she's only a highschool junior, but she did know that her assignments were killer now, and that she probably wouldn't survive college.

Karin pulled one of her earbuds out, so that she could hear what was going on around her. She didn't like not knowing whether she was going to have to run or not. She noticed something.

Coming from the laptop, was the same music she was listening to. Should she say something? Should she ignore it? Should she quit asking herself questions, and just do something, already?

Karin went against her better judgement, and leaned over the table, handing him one of her earbuds. He seemed a bit startled at first, having something really close to hs face, without a warning, but he took the earbud anyway, and figured out her reasons.

"I never could picture you liking Benny Goodman, Karin." He smirked, and handed her the earbud back. She turned off her mp3, andlistened to what he had to say. "I always thought you liked loud rock music."

"I do, but I like this, too. My mom used to play it all the time for us." Karin thought of a time when she was about three, and hadn't been able to leep. She walked in on her parents dancing to Benny Goodman.

"Ichigo never told me that," He started Sing, Sing, Sing over, and turned it up a little louder, ignoring the glares from a few people sitting around them.

"Well, now you know. You wanna hang out some time, as friends?" Karin went against her better judgement again, but it worked the last time, so why shouldn't this time.

He nodded, and began typing again.

"Alright. Call the house. If Ichigo answers, tell him it's for me. I wanna piss him off. He stole one of my wifebeaters last week, and I wanna get him back. And no, I'm not using you." Karin got up from her seat, coming back thirty seconds later to get her coffe, then lef the coffe shop.

Because of Benny Goodman, a new and beautiful friendship was started.
