One shot

Home. Home sweet home. Harley giggled as her darling Puddin' carried her over the threshold. He hadn't really spoken much; he had simply stared at her and kept his arm wrapped around her waist. She was still giggling when he placed her on the floor; she spread her arms and spun around in circles.

"I knew you weren't dead," she hummed and turned to look at him.

He hadn't moved, he was still staring at her. She smiled and sent him a flying kiss.

"Did you miss me, Puddin'?"

"I need to get rid of these clothes," he replied. "I reek of…the law."

Harley crossed her arms and pouted her lips as her Puddin' marched towards the bathroom. She had missed him every single moment they had been apart. Hadn't he missed her? She looked around and noticed that nothing had changed while she had been gone. The whole place looked very…clean. It seemed that her Puddin' had been just fine without her. He hadn't needed her.

The thought hurt, she couldn't deny that. Why had he gone through all the trouble to get her back if he didn't need her? She wanted to get changed as well and burn her prison clothes. Still she waited for a while, but her Puddin' didn't return. Fine. Angrily she marched to their bedroom and yanked the door open. What she saw made her gasp.

The whole room had been ripped apart. Furniture, sheets, curtains… everything was on the floor. Destroyed. And the walls… Her name had been written on them. Over and over and over again. Her lips curved into a smile as she looked around. Oh, Puddin'… This was the most romantic thing anyone could have ever done for her.

She looked into her closet and noticed that all her clothes were there, undamaged. Except one of her shirts that was lying on the floor next to a pillow. Her smile grew even wider. Her Puddin' had missed her. She should have known he wouldn't say that out loud. It didn't matter; to her this was much better. A perfect expression of his love for her. She stood in the middle of the beautifully destroyed room and laughed until he came in and wrapped his arm around her. Softly his lips touched her neck.

"Welcome home, Harls."
