The mood at the Gryffindor table was light. A group of fifth year boys were laughing and joking during breakfast. Two of the group sat closer together than the others. The one called James had his arm loosely around the boy closest to him, the one called Remus.
They ate while laughing with the rest of the group. Eventually, Remus stood up, grabbed his fork and plate, and scraped his helping of eggs onto James' plate. He sat his utensils down, kissed James on the cheek, and left the Great Hall.
The boys around them stopped their joking to look at James. He was turning red and a smile was forming. "What?" he asked, smirking. The boys just chuckled and turned away.
Remus didn't like eggs.
