Today was the day..
Today was the day of Blair Waldorf"s wedding to Parker St. Croix, an upper east sidder, much like herself.
She was getting ready in her penthouse, she was surrounded by people, her mother, Cyrus, Serena, Nate. All the people she loved except for one, Chuck.
Today of all days it was hard to keep him out of her mind. Ever since Blair waldorf was 4 she deciced she would marry Nathaniel Archibald, now he was the best man, and ever since she was 17 she dreamed of marrying Charles Bass, now he was nowhere to be seen.
She put on a fake smile for everyone to see, though she frowned on the inside. Only a few people would notice, Chuck being one of them, but the rest brushed it off saying nothing, tinking it was just nerves.
She remmbered the first time she met Parker, he saved her in a club and took her home, then they became friends, then they turned into something else, oyfriend and girlfriend?
At the time she was not sure but a year later he proposed and she accepted.
Todat was the day of the wedding and her thoughts kept venturing back to Chuck. She did not really know why she accepted parker, she did not have history with him, she did not loose her virginity to him, he did not make her 18 birthday a happy one, he did not scheme and plot with her. But for the same reasons, the history, Blair could not be with Chuck.
People were leaving in their limos and soon she would be too. She walked downstairs rembering what she was supposed to say " I do" then say "I love you Parker". She had to concentrate the most on the latter because she was afraid it might como out as I love you CHUCK.
Now that would be an akward scene.
She did not know what to do, should she head to the chapel right now or go to the JFK airport and take the first flight to Tokyo (chuck's new and permanent residence). She got in the limo and too any memories came back to her, all involving Chuck.
She got to the chapel music was playing they were all waiting for the arrival of Blair Waldorf.
She ws down the middle of the isle when numourous phones went off. Everybody looked to see the blast the music stopped and everybody looked aroud, Blair got her cellphone out of her garnet belt, everybody was shoked she had it with her. A gossip girl blast has been sent that read the following:
My, my, Bass a little late are we not, coming to rescuerqueen B? Well by now the knot is probably tied, but that doesn't stop you from trying. Somebody has to report the outcome, so any volunteers? No? We'll see about that.

Underneath was a picture of chuck bass running through the streets of manhattan.
Everybody was surprised to see him running, Chuck Bass did not run for anybody, except maybe Blair Waldorf.
Blair shifted her gaze from the pisture to Parker who was at the alter smiling with a confused look on his face.
That was the moment Balir realized she could not go through with it. She dropped her bouquet and bolted ut the doors, leaing behind a confused fiancee and 3 friends who were happy that she was finally going to go after what she really wanted.
