Kirai walked through the falling snow, leaving small paw prints behind him, he was cold but he wouldn't change his form, It wouldn't help any after all. He was looking for what everyone saw as his owner, the young Kaen, in this dreadful weather.

He'd always said he liked the snow , with its flakes spiraling in a suicide mission to crash to the earth. But it really only made him sad, made him think about his lonely future, the life of his that refused to be put out. The eternity that lay ahead, pointless and full of disaster like the past he knew before.

Kaen was in a snowy clearing sitting in the snow looking to the cloudy sky. His white blindfold was tied around his wrist in a pointless manner. After a few seconds the boy looked in Kirai's direction saying hello with a blank expression. Kirai hated that look, no feeling, no emotion, just blank void, it made him look away. It was just to painful to be given a look of such emptiness it made him feel like he didn't exist. It was like the snow, empty, lonely.

Kirai wouldn't say anything for he'd already stated things before, nothing would change those blank eyes, which he'd love to see with emotion but never would. all Kirai could do is approach him and lay in his lap like he had done many times before, nothing less, nothing more. There was no warmth in it and he didn't know why he did it anymore. The sad realization was Kirai's heart was broken and Kaen could never know. He would just have to bear just a little while longer.

The clouds were growing dark and Kaen decided they should go home, so he picked up Kirai and started to carry him. Kirai didn't want to be held, he wanted to walk himself so he simply asked to be put down. Kaen was confused because Kirai had never asked to walk before but he let him anyway. It wasn't long though and the blizzard had started up like a speeding car.

It was hard to see and Kaen began to grow weak fast with no explanation. This set Kirai on alarm and he took a different form. How he stood tall and large as a massive reptilian feline. Kaen couldn't help but to question this though Kirai would not answer and forced him to continue till Kaen couldn't any longer and collapsed. Kirai cast a charm on the boy and lay him under a tree keeping him warm and safe. Kirai knew this storm was the result of another. A foul creature that fed off others lives, and could only die by the hand of its own race.

Kirai took speed and dashed toward his enemy. The blizzard only worsened as he went and he knew he was close. that's when large ice like blades appeared and he had to dodge. He finally reached his target, the creator of the storm a large dog looking thing covered in plates of pure ice.

The battle was intense, Kirai used the silver orbs of era to open a hole in the storm so that he could have an empty area of combat. The two took damaging chunks of armor and flesh off each other. Slowly ripping themselves apart till the very end. Kirai somehow managed to get hold of the hound and killed it but at a cost the orbs vanished and the blizzard slammed down on the beasts in an instant.

Kirai took just a few steps and just lay down in the snow thinking about his path ahead, and about Kaen. How he would miss him, but never remember the face again. The storm grew worse and Kirai vanished with the spiraling snow. Perhaps returning to his vessel or dying with the end of the storm.
