Blush is like stained glass; there's a story in the beauty of it. There's something more than just a flush of beautiful color as beautiful emotion finds its own story along the way. It blooms from moments, history, that dances and changes. It's a beacon to a thousand questions that are just begging to be asked.

Hers is particularly beautiful, and yet only so much of the story can be revealed in reddened cheeks or in her heart song.

She was so beautiful without having to try to be, and Luka found himself drawn to her time and time again from the steady beat of her heart song that could twist his heart along with her emotions so easily to just how much she really cared. Marinette could be the most selfless person at times though sometimes even that could become murky. Luka loved how she cared, how attentive she could be, and how she worked with bravery on the wire of cowardice and got through it all with sheer determination and a refusal to give up and just let fear win.

Marinette found herself pulled out of focus now on the rare moments when Luka blushed. There was something so beautiful in it, as if the red highlighted and revealed what you couldn't see before. It grounded her in a really weird way and kept her steady. When he did blush, it was genuine and meaningful as if she'd extracted something from a layer of calm that normally wouldn't express just how much he'd begun to fall for her.

She couldn't believe anymore how she hadn't noticed it before, hadn't really paused to look, and now that she had, she couldn't look away. It almost made her long to reach out to make him feel stunned with love or affection or whatever lit his face up pink and warmed her heart up in that same moment.

If only, she could close that gap and try for something just a little bit more as her heart shifted in her chest and love began to take root on once a bit unsteady ground, but was fast becoming fertile ground. Marinette wondered just what would happen if she'd just move closer and leave a kiss behind on his lips. Would his face bloom that pretty shade or would she be the only one so flustered by it? Nerves kept her back and away from discovering that answer, only just barely. Maybe one day, she'd finally brave that gap and give love a bigger and better chance in her heart for Luka to thrive.
