Requiem
What do you do when all the other lights go out? When there's nothing left, not even hope?
His grin was an unholy thing, full malicious glee and the things that were in the darkest part of human hearts. Everything that was the antithesis of whom he used to be. Of what Sora now stood for.
Oblivion was a warm familiar weight in his hands as it appeared with a hiss metal and light. He could feel its eagerness to set the balance right, to tear his enemies down with one sweep of its dark length. In this he was the Keyblade's tool as much as it was his. Normally he would be in complete accord. However, this was different. So very different.
Why won't you take my hand?
That most people would have considered it betrayal never crossed Sora's mind. This was Riku after all. His best friend was arrogant at times and yes, he could be a jerk, but he was Riku just same. And something was controlling him. Something that turned Riku's eyes into a storm of turquoise and gold. Something that turned his friend's smile into a vindictive sneer. Something that tore him away.
You are nothing little Keyblade Master.
Sora listened to the thing's taunts that came from Riku's lips and felt his carefully banked rage begin to flare to life. Yes, something was controlling Riku. And Sora would make it pay. Because that's what heroes did.
He leapt forward.
I'm not afraid of the darkness!
AN: Yeah I know there are inconsistencies, like how Oblivion was received after this fight, but...creative license XD And yeah this was really short. Might add more drabbles if a plot hits me. Hope you enjoyed!
