Prologue

Normal. Today was supposed to be Normal, I was supposed to get up and do my Normal everyday routine, and I did. Everything was Normal at that point, after my Normal everyday routine of getting up taking a shower brushing my teeth putting on my make-up styling my hair and then finally getting dressed was completed I would then head downstairs to the completely Normal site of my mother cooking eggs and my father reading the newspaper while drinking from a cup of steaming coffee a plate of scrambled eggs and toast sitting in front of him.

My mother would greet me with the Normal good morning and how did you sleep, to which I would reply with my Normal good morning and fine. My father would look up from the paper and greet me with a smile and a good morning sport to which I would reply with my own completely Normal smile and good morning dad. My mom would then place a plate of eggs in front of me along with a glass of milk a kiss on the forehead following as she moves to leave. Everything about this morning was Normal, it happened every morning and it had been happening ever since I was a little girl old enough to go down the stairs and able to dress myself without my mother's help.

After eating my breakfast and having a Normal morning chat with my parents I would head out and take my Normal route to school in my Normal little car and arrive at my Normal time of 7:30 twenty minutes before class was destined to even begin. I would then begin my next Normal route to the Library to drop off the books that I had finished reading the day before and grab more books as was Normal for me on a Normal school day.

But there in lies the problem with my Normal fantasy, you know the one where everything stays the same and nothing changes and life goes on your routine staying Normal. Today when I arrived at the Normal Library I was met with the AbNormal site of our school principal showing the LIbrary to a very AbNormal woman and son, I say AbNormal not because they were funny looking no I say AbNormal because I had never seen either of them in my completely Normal school. They were an oddity that didn't often happen in this very Normal High School and this very Normal town.

This my fair readers is the time when everything that I thought was Normal becomes changed, twisted and mangled until I have no idea of what I used to think of as Normal even exists anymore. So read on read on and find out what one little change in my Normal could do to my entire world.
