This is my first fanfic so it's just a short little one shot I made. Please review so I can see where I need to improve. I don't own Death Note.
I opened my eyes expecting to see my room... What I saw was so not mine. I sat up completely confused and looked around. Lets see... Book shelf...Door...Desk...Computer...Book that looks like a Death Note... Pencil holder... Waaaaaiiiiiiiitttt... I looked back at the black notebook, got out of bed and walked towards the desk. I picked up the notebook and sure enough the words Death Note were on the cover.
I look around for my Shinigami, I read the manga so I knew what to expect.
After a minute I finally saw it... Or should I say her? It was Rem my Death Note mortal enemy. Then I remembered, Misa's Shinigami was Rem so that mean't...I was the second Kira. "Hey Rem is there a teenage boy named Light Yagami living around here?" I asked.
Rem looked confused for a minute but finally answered, "Why yes there is."
I smiled... How could I not? I mean I have a Death Note now AND I know his name and face. And because I was the second Kira... L WAS STILL ALIVE! I could stop him from dying! I grabbed a pen from the pencil holder, opened the Death Note, ignored the rules, and wrote down on name. The only name I would write so I didn't go crazy.
Light Yagami.
I smiled and closed the notebook.
(Somewhere else 20 seconds later)
Light sat next to L. They were both looking up information on Kira. Or atleast they were suppose to be. Light was watching Code Geass and L was chatting with someone online named IKilledKira. "Hey L?" Light asked.
L turned to Light "What?"
"Do you think we should-"
But Light never finished his question because at that moment he had a heart attack and fell over dead.
L blinked, turned back to the computer screen and typed another message to IKilledKira.
Cakelover12: Light just died... You were right, Light is... er was Kira. And he was able to avoid capture by being right under my nose the whole time. Thanks for the help.
IKilledKira: Hey no problem I love helping people out!
Cakelover12: I just have two more questions. One how did you know who I was? And two how did you kill Kira in the same way he killed the criminals.
IKilledKira: To answer the first one I heard a rumor about you liking sweets and L is the 12th letter of the alphabet so I put two and two together and vwala!
Cakelover12: ...You can't spell. That still doesn't answer the second question.
IKilledKira: I know. Well you see Kira used this thing called a Death Note. Which is a black notebook with the words Death Note written in white, English writing. This first page of the notebook is again black with white writing that says "Any human whos name is written in this notebook shall die." and "You must have the person's face pictured in your mind so it won't effect people with the same name." and that's all I remember.
Cakelover12: ...It makes sense when you think about it...
IKilledKira: Really?
Cakelover12: No.
IKilledKira: I know.
Cakelover12: Well anyway thanks for the info but i've got to sign off. See ya.
IKilledKira: Bye!
L closed down the online chat just as Light's father walked in. "What the...LIGHT!" he yelled.
L turned in his chair and sighed, "Calm down." he said flatly.
Yagami looked up at L from where he knelt by his dead son. "You have some explaining to do Ryuzaki."
L sighed again, "More than you know."
