((I recently caught up to the Vampire Knight manga, and have been in a mood for more. When I looked at a couple drabble fics, I realized that I'd written one for Vampire Knight a while back. It had less words and was quite...empty. So I practically re-wrote it and made it better. And now have a fairly satisfactory Zero x Yuuki drabble...

Zero x Yuuki ~ "Wish."
I snuck out without asking for Kaname's permission, again. Yes, I know, I was being bad...he specifically said that I wasn't to leave this place. And on a cold night such as this one, I almost wish I'd stayed inside...with the warmth. Stay inside like he told me to. Kaname is my older brother. I love him, and... I'd do anything for him. He's always watched over me, so I owe him, right?
But there's still someone else that I care about. Someone who I haven't seen in a much longer amount of time. Last time I did see him, he said that he'd kill me next time we met. That's...expected. He's a vampire hunter. And I'm a vampire. Still...I've been with him for a long time...I always wanted to be there for him...even at his sometimes snide remarks or bitter expression. He was always a mystery...but one I wanted to hold on to. How could I let him go?
I noticed shooting star flash across the sky. Slowly, I took a deep breath and closed my eyes as I made my first wish on a star. I wish that I could see Zero, again.
Because even if fate doesn't like it...even if our natures don't want to allow it...even if he's meant to kill me...
I love Zero.
