Hello! This is actually a challenge I want to make to people who also like William Tavington! I had this idea today and I really want to see it finished, so, if someone accepts the challenge, know that this will turn out to be a VERY long fanfiction (so you will need a great deal of patience) and also, please, ONLY accept if you REALLY have the intention to finish it!
Well, here it goes!
1: William Tavington has an affair with a woman, but they do not marry.
2: The woman gave birth to a girl after he goes to war in America.
3: Years later the woman dies and the girl, now a teenager, is sent to America to live with her father.
4: William never wanted a daughter, so after a few days, weeks (I will leave this decision free) he sends her to a convent or something of kind.
5: The girl didn't want to become a nun, so she runs away.
6: What happens here I will also leave to free decision, but sometime after, the girl ends up being involved at the war and to survive, she takes the disguise of a boy and enters the Green Dragoons.
7: Somehow hiding her true gender with a false identity, she rises in the ranks and ends up being a direct subordinate to her father.
8: Tavington is impressed by the 'soldier's accomplishments to the point of getting so close to the 'boy' to think of 'him' as the son he would've liked to have.
9: A great deal of time later, somehow William discovers about the 'soldier's true gender and identity and rushes to the battlefield where his daughter was sent to fight the Continental Army.
10: The girl ends up in a fight with Benjamin Martin who shots her, unknowing, the same way Tavington had shot his second born son. This happens before William's eyes.
What happens from here on I will leave it to the one who accepts my challenge. If you want to put romance and whatever here, like killing Martin or even the girl as some kind of "Destiny's revenge" it's up to you.
NOTE: However, the main history will have to be this one, and if you chose to put romance or whatever here, don't forget that the main thing here is the fatherXdaughter(son) relationship between the two, that's what I really want to see since its a rare thing to find here. Also, the history needs to be well written!
