Buffalo Bill
Bill was born in 1846 in Iowa. His real name was William Frederic Cody. His family moved to Weston, Missouri. His father owned a trading post there.
One day an Indian came and said their chief wanted some red blankets. Bill's father went hunting that night and Bill was alone. He slept under the wagon. He was awakened the next day by footsteps coming from the wagon. He went in thinking it was his father. There were gold miners in there they tied him up and threatened to kill him. They stole the red blankets and rode off. Then to Indian braves came. They untied him and he told them what happened. Then the Indians went and got the blankets and said they would take them to the chief.
The next day the chief came for the blankets. But the Indian braves tricked them. Luckily Bill had a cousin that hunted with the twoIndians who trisked them. Hde got them back.
Bill's father died when bill was a child, becaule he was murdered. This caused Bill to only have one year of school because he had tosupport his family.
