"This is the first sentence." Kindaichi read the words on the slip of paper he had found in the pocket of his jacket. It was quite odd that it was in there, as he knew for a fact that it hadn't been when he had placed the jacket on the back of a chair the night before. Aside from the paper being out of place, the sentence was puzzling. Why would someone put it in his pocket? As he was contemplating this, a sound to his right caught his attention. When he turned around to look, his head lightly thunked against the edge of an object, effectively waking him up.
"Ow." He blinked a few times, trying to fully wake up. What the hell had he hit?
"Good morning, Sempai."
Saki's voice. Wait, that would mean… Kindaichi sat up quickly and stared at the direction his friend's voice had come from. It became quite apparent, then, what he had bumped his head on. Upon that realization, he became weirded out.
"Saki! Don't tape me while I'm sleeping!"
Saki only laughed, his video camera still recording.
