Chapter 1
Hinata looked out her living room window.
"Mom, when is this Sasuke person coming?" she asked. Her mother had set up Hinata and her friend's son, Sasuke, to meet each other that day.
"Soon Hinata dear." Her mother said.
"You said that 20 minutes ago." For an 8-year old Hinata was very perceptive and stubborn.
"No, it was 21 minutes ago." Hinata's cousin, Neji corrected. Hinata turned to look at her cousin. "Thank you for the time check cousin." She said, sarcasm literally dripping off her words. "You're welcome." Neji smirked. Just then Hinata saw a car pull up in the driveway. "That must be him" she thought. She opened the door to reveal a young boy with dark hair in a "duck-tail' style, dark onyx eyes and a cranky face staring back at her. Her lavender eyes went up to the woman standing next to him. "Must be his mom." She muttered silently to herself.
"Come in." Hinata stepped aside to let in the two people in. Hinata's mom came out.
"Hinata, take Sasuke up to your room while we discuss some business." She said. Hinata and Sasuke shared a look that said, "Woman, are you serious?!"
"Go." Hinata rolled her eyes as she led Sasuke up to her room. He wore baggy white pants with a blue T-shirt. Hinata felt self-conscious in her short white and purple dress.
She led Sasuke inside her room. Sasuke saw a PS2 in the center with a T.V and a bunch of games plus 2 controllers. Hinata glanced at him while she surfed through her books.
"Wanna race?" she asked suddenly.
"Huh?" Sasuke saw her staring at him with her hands on her hips. "Ok, I guess." He responded. The two set up the game station and put in a Need for Speed Underground.
Later…..
"How the hell did you beat me?! I'm like the best player in my entire grade!!" Sasuke was shocked. The score was:
Hinata: 40
Sasuke: 23
"Ha! But I won 23 out of 63 anyway!" Sasuke declared.
"Yeah, and lost the other 40!!" Hinata giggled
"Suck off!" Sasuke pouted.
"There are some things I don't share with other people." She said. The two were sprawled out on the floor of Hinata's bedroom.
"Well that was fun." Hinata sat up and crawled over to where Sasuke was sitting and sat next to him. "Yeah. Gotta admit you are pretty fun to play with." Sasuke sat up and smiled. Hinata blushed.
"You too." She said.
"Hey Hinata?"
"Hmm?"
"Thanks for playing."
"You're most welcome Sasuke!" Hinata smiled. She leaned across and kissed Sasuke's cheek. Sasuke blushed 34 different shades of red. Hinata giggled. Sasuke returned the favor and kissed Hinata's cheek. "We won't tell anyone at school about this right? It'll sooo ruin my reputation." Sasuke said.
"R-Right." Hinata nodded quickly.
"So……wanna race again?" Sasuke asked looking across at Hinata. Hinata smirked.
"You're on!"
Later……
"NOOOOOOOOO!!!! Not again!!!!" Sasuke shouted.
Once again……
Hinata: 64
Sasuke: 2
"Damn! I'm SO GOOD!!" Hinata cheered and laughed at Sasuke's repeated demise.
