This story was inspired by a class activity, and that the activity was inspired by an event in a book I was reading. The intro may sound a bit cliche but I still hope you'll finish it :D

The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the children are playing, there's an old man selling balloons by the fountain, and the smell of roasted peanuts filled the air. In short, today's the perfect day to be out and relaxing, that's what the young man thought. Especially today, with the start of the summer vacation; exams are over, projects' all been passed, no more home works, and no teachers telling you what to do. Yup, life is great!
The young man leaned back on his backpack like a pillow. His unusual pink hair was barely visible under his hood. Patches of blue sky were visible under the leafy shade of the apple tree. His eyes scanned the ripe fruit. He wondered if fruit could fall in his mouth if he kept it open long enough.
'Isn't there a children's story like that?' he chuckled. He closed his eyes and inhaled the fresh summer air. As he was teetering on the edge of unconsciousness and sleep was about to consume him...
"Excuse me? Can I take a seat?" he heard a fuzzy voice say.
'Damn it!' he thought 'Can't this guy bother someone else?' He was about to tell the guy to leave him alone and get lost. But all his anger was extinguished when he saw the pretty blonde in front of him.
"Can – ahhh..." he was sure his mouth was hanging.
"Um? Never mind, sorry for disturbing you..." she was about to leave.
"NO WAIT!" he blurted out suddenly. She turned around and cocked an eyebrow. "I-I a ah ah...no you're not bothering me, what I meant was sure you can sit" and gave her a grin. Though still skeptical the girl took a seat a few feet away from him, and took out a book. From the young man's perspective the girl looked pretty content reading, a small smile playing on her lips.
'I'm probably smiling like an idiot' the young man thought. And he was.
And done! My one shot is finished. Thanks for reading and please tell me what you think...
