Disclaimer: I don't own Good Luck Charlie. In this story PJ was never born
"The best part of it was that mom thought Charlie tried to mail Toby when I was the one who did it so Charlie got a time out," Gabe said laughing, "I've been getting her in trouble ever since mom found out that she was pregnant with Toby."
Gabe didn't know Teddy was listening in on the conversation.
Gabe suddenly became aware of a stinging sensation in his rear as he heard the sound of a smack being delivered.
"I'll have to call you back," he said glaring up at his sister.
He hung up the phone.
"TEDDY WHAT THE HELL-"
"Watch your mouth," Teddy said, "Setting Charlie up is beyond wrong."
Amy was downstairs when she heard Gabe and Teddy fighting. She went upstairs sighing. Why couldn't her two oldest children behave themselves? Teddy was normally very well behaved but she really was annoyed about their arguing.
"What is going on," Amy demanded.
"Teddy hit me," Gabe whined.
"Oh really," Amy said, "Teddy why did you hit your brother?"
"Gabe was the one that tried to mail Toby and he's been setting her up. He gets her in trouble."
Amy took a breath.
"Alright Teddy I appreciate you trying to help honey but discipline needs to be up to the parents... not the kids alright?"
"Alright mom. I'm sorry."
"Okay well can you go get dinner started. I need to have a word with Gabe for a minute."
Teddy left.
Amy looked at Gabe.
"Gabe honey I know you're feeling hurt since Charlie was born. You felt like you were no longer the baby."
"No kidding," Gabe muttered.
"But you have to understand that dad and I love you every bit as much as we love Charlie and Toby," Amy continued, "We didn't love Teddy any less because you were born and we don't love Charlie any less because of Toby."
"I guess," Gabe said pouting a little bit.
"Good. Now we need to talk about your punishment."
"I already was punished wasn't I?"
"No. You weren't punished Gabe. I'm going to give you a choice. First of all you need to apologize to Charlie."
"I'll take that," Gabe said.
"Nope," Amy replied, "That's not your punishment. As for your punishment you're grounded for a month. That means no TV. It means no going out. Basically you're going to school come home go into your room with no TV games or computer except for homework and you can only come out to eat or use the bathroom."
"That's not much of a choice," Gabe said, "and that's not fair. Teddy didn't get punished and she hit me."
"Or," Amy continued, "You could do a nine minute time out in your room. Or you can do double chores for a week."
"Um... I'll take the nine minute time out," Gabe said
