I don't own any of the characters in here, unfortunately. They are all property of GAINAX. Please don't sue, I'm poor.

Inside room A-2 the teacher continues to drone on about some stupid fact about the second impact, just like every other day. Most of the class is trying desperately to stay awake, Hikari Horaki included. Rei Ayanami remains motionless as she stares out the window, not due to the boring speech, but because of some unseen reason, no one ever asks her why. Asuka Langley Soryu is debating with herself over hitting her head against her desk or not. Shinji Ikari is alternating from staring at the blank slate of his desk and Rei. Suddenly the alarms begin wailing, startling the young pilots from their various thoughts before their departure.
Upon their arrival at NERV, the three pilots are inserted into their Evas and await deployment. On the surface of Tokyo-3, the Angel begins approaching the giant buildings of the world's 'Last fortress'. The Angel is humanoid in shape, similar to the 3rd angel, but a pale skin color instead of green. The three Evangelions reach the surface in time to witness the Angel's next action; he sits down near the center of the city. The Evas hesitate for a moment and then fall over in the exasperation of their pilots; the Angel has revealed the item it had carried into the city, a lunchbox. As the machines regain their footing the Angel begin to unpack his lunch and commences eating it, with rather good etiquette for a giant alien.
"Uh. What are we supposed to do, Misato?" Shinji asks.
"Oh my god, he's eating lunch! I don't believe this." Asuka begins ranting
"Well, as far as we know the Angel isn't being aggressive, so we suggest just waiting." Misato replies.
"You've got to be kidding." Asuka says, "I'm not going to wait around for the Angel to finish his lunch!"
With this, Eva Unit 02 brings its rifle to bear and begins firing upon the Angel, successfully tearing the lovely blanket to shreds and destroying what was left of the Angel's lunch. For a moment the Angel sits in disbelief as the bullets stop their rampage. The Angel brings its hands up to its face to take in the realization that the remaining sandwich that had been in its hand is now nearly disintegrated, not nearly enough remains to be of any use. For another moment the Angel stares at its hands before dropping them to its sides. Tears begin to form in its eyes. Slowly it rises to its feet, its arms swinging lifelessly at its side, anger apparent in its eyes.
"Uh. Asuka, I think you made it mad."
"Well, good! That should teach it for wasting my time."
"But that's not a very nice thing to do, even to an Angel. He was just eating his lunch."
"So you're defending the Angel now?!"
"I. no, sorry."
The Angel changes into a running stance before turning away from the Evas and running away, its tears crushing the cars still fortunate to be intact up till now.
"Did it just run away?" Asuka asks.
"You made it sad." Rei replies.
"I think you're a bully, Asuka."
"It was an Angel!"
"So, it was just eating lunch."
"Shut up, Shinji!"
Suddenly, over the mountain range the Angel had run behind, three creatures even larger than the Evas cross the barrier, the Angel walking behind them, wiping its tears. The three giant creatures look none to pleased with Unit 02.
"Uh. Asuka?"
"What do you want now, Shinji?!"
"I think it got its big brothers."
"Oh Hell."
