Warnings: Mentions of abortion.
Adrian sighed and stared out the window. She ignored Amy's mom walking into the Juergens' kitchen with Robbie.
She didn't regret aborting her pregnancy. She and Ben were too young to have a baby. They weren't Amy and Ricky.
Adrian still couldn't believe she had actually been pregnant, though. It was such a weird thought. For a few weeks, she actually had something living inside of her.
And even though it hurt a little to think about, Adrian couldn't help but imagine a little girl who looked like Ben. Or a little boy that looked like her. However, becoming a mother at her age wasn't in her plans. Adrian knew she'd get married someday and have kids with her future husband. Ben wasn't that person.
Ben had supported Adrian's decision, although he had offered to marry her if she kept the baby. Even if Adrian had kept the baby, she would have refused.
Ben and Amy's chances of getting back together had been ruined by Adrian's pregnancy, even though she had aborted. Too much had happened to even consider having a relationship again. Adrian regretted that Ben and Amy couldn't work things out, but there was no going back now.
Her parents, Leo, and Betty had been furious about her pregnancy. Leo had nearly kicked Ben out, telling him that he had made his bed and now he had to deal with his mistake. However, everyone had sat down together and had a discussion.
Adrian refused to discuss adoption or letting Ben have full custody. She had made her decision, and it was final. Luckily, her parents had agreed to let Adrian abort the pregnancy. She had an appointment booked three days after that.
It had now been a month since the abortion and Adrian couldn't stop wondering about the what if's. It was hard not to think about those.
However, she had finally come to a conclusion about her pregnancy and subsequent decision to abort it. There would be no more wondering about it.
Adrian had made the right choice for her. That was all that mattered.
