The Original sister and her older brothers were turned into vampires without their consent in the year of 1001, which is known now as the beginning of the second millennium. Her family took great pride in successfully hiding their supernatural identities for centuries. During that time, the Mikaelson's had learned the importance of feeding wisely without the interference of outsiders, and had even discovered clever practices in the art that was disposing of dead bodies. However, it was the-brotherhood-of-the-five that would eventually stumble upon their dark secret. And one of those brothers just so happened to be Alexander; a secret vampire hunter that Rebekah Mikaelson had fell completely head over heels in love with.

Alexander had a deep hatred in his brown eyes that she only ever witnessed whenever his thoughts were circling around vampires.

She took a deep, calming breath and lifted her leg over his thighs to straddle her fianceƩ's waist. "Let's not think about vampires right now, Alexander." The blonde women gazed deeply into his irritated eyes and smiled sweetly, " We're to be wed next week. Be with me."

Pursing his lips together, the young man eyed her with a look that she couldn't quite decipher. He placed a gentle hand on her, cupping her hip over her long, silky-white dress. He then used his other to reach over and grab something off his nightstand.

It was a dagger.

She felt her chest tighten instantly. She couldn't possibly believe a dagger could hurt her, but the way he twirled the weapon in-between his fingers with a stare of admiration made her tense. She tried to swing her legs off of him, but his grasp on her hip became almost forceful. Her only hope to get away from him now was to use her immortal strength, but she knew Alexander would easily recognize that as vampirism.

"Rebekah, sweetheart, do you know what this is used for?" His tone sounded condescending and disdainful, which she couldn't understand.

What reason could he have to be so openly haughty to her? He couldn't possibly have figured out that she was a vampire. She had taken to great lengths to make sure that didn't happen.

Rebekah shook her head mutely.

Alexander fiddled with the handle excitedly, explaining with a whimsical voice, "It's for a special type of vampire that my brother's and I have known about for years." Her eyes immediately widened as he shook his head in disgust, "There have been vampiric creatures living amongst us that are unkillable, but with this dagger," He held the weapon high in the air as if he were worshipping it," we will rid the Original species of their life once and for all."

The vampire could feel her eyes brimming with tears. She felt her eyelashes start to go damp, so she quickly turned her cheek to lose his attention, but his fingers caught her chin. "What's wrong, dear? Why are you crying? This should be a glorious day indeed." His brown eyes looked warm, almost friendly and concerned as he spoke to her.

She sniffled and let out a cracked laugh, wiping at her wet eyes, "You have mistaken these tears for sadness, darling. They are happy tears for the day has come."

And they could be. If she could just help Alexander find the vampire cure he talked so fondly of, she could take it and he would never find out about her blatant deception.

Rebekah took his face in her hands and kissed him deeply, throwing fear and trepidation into the rough kiss. And just as she was about to push him down onto the bed to make passionate love to him, she felt something sharp pierce through the back of her dress. A loud gasp left her mouth, her eyes widening in panic when she noticed her arms beginning to turn grey with black veins forming across her skin, "Why?" She choked out with a hoarse voice.

She was beginning to lose the last ounce of strength she could feel in her body when Alexander roughly shoved her off of him. She noticed that she could not move even a muscle. If was as if that blade had paralyzed her. But she could hear. "I will not marry a vampire, especially not one of your kind."

And those were the last words Rebekah heard before her eyes closed against her will and all she saw was blackness.
