Leos POV
I hear my brothers' voices, coming from the farmhouse. Just this evening they told me what happened after we split up. How the Kraang invaded, how April's father got mutated again, how they saw the Shedder stab master Splinter and throw him in a sewer drain…
My brothers and friends escaped, how come master Splinter couldn't? I mean, he's a great ninja master! He always knew what to do. He taught us everything we know, he took care of us when we couldn't take care of ourselves. He's the one that scared our nightmares away when we were younger, back when our world was free of trouble, when we didn't have to worry about the Kraang or Shredder attacking us.
Oh, how I wish we could go back to those times…
When I look at the sky I notice the stars have come out. Thinking back to the first time I saw the stars I smile.
Master Splinter brought us out of the sewers, just outside the city and showed us the stars. He told us about the ancestors and about how they were with the stars and how they would protect us, until they thought it was time for us to join them.
I never really thought about it that much. But we could sure use some protection now that our protector is gone.
Now that I think about it I realize Splinter should be with the stars too. Would he be with his wife? Would he have his human appearance back? Why did the ancestors take our father from us?
I sight. Maybe the ancestors thought Splinter deserved his rest. That would make sense, if you think about everything he's been trough.
But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Splinter's still alive, maybe he's watching the stars too, right now.
I notice shivers running down my shell and decide it's time to get inside.
Master Splinter is watching us. If not, he'll find us.
