"U-um Lychee…" John called out before he was supposed to start an exorcism. "Please um…stay here."

"Why?" Lychee didn't mean to be rude. She was just genuinely curious.

"Because uh…I-I might need your help." John replied, slightly blushing.

"Alright." Lychee sat down beside him and tucked a few strands of hair behind her ear.

He began the exorcism then a few moments later the ghost became violent and was raging straight for the girl beside him.

"Lychee!" John quickly leaped up to her and they both fell on the floor. The ghost had vanished.

"Whew. That was close. Are you oaky?" John asked with his unique accent. He didn't realize he was on top of her though.

"I'm fine. But…um..John…" She was blushing heavily.

"Huh… Ahh! I'm sorry!" He jumped off her. Panic quickly rose to his throat. "I'm really sorry Lychee." Now more embarrassed than ever.

"Don't sweat it. Thank you." She smiled.

John's heartbeat went faster. Your smile is really beautiful Lychee. He thought to himself.

"John! Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Mai came rushing toward his new 'beloved' as everyone put it. Ever since Kazuya rejected her after confessing, John instantly became her new object of affection.

"I'm fine Mai-san. Thanks for worrying." He said kindly then turned back to Lychee. "Would you like something to eat?"

"I'll have to decline your offer. I'm still pretty stuffed from the heavy breakfast I took this morning. Thank you though." Lychee laughed.

"I see. Okay." John sounded disappointed and defeated.

"Come with me for a second." Mai took John by the hand and practically dragged him out of the room. Lychee looked partly amused partly curious.

John found himself in another room not far from the previous one he's occupied just seconds ago.

"Why?!" Mai almost screamed.

"H-Huh..?"

"Why do you always ask Lychee to eat out and stuff? What about me?" She started crying.

"What are you saying Mai-sa-"

"I love you John!"

He was quite surprised but firmly and honestly said, "I'm sorry Mai-san. I will never be able to return your feelings. But thank you for being honest about it."

"Why…" She said for the nth time.

"I'm in love with Lychee you see. I think it's pretty obvious." He grinned.

Lychee overheard the conversation as she was passing by. "Oh dear." She flushed.
