The Doctor looked around as the last of the blinding light vanished and he could see again. He wasn't in the TARDIS anymore, he could see that, but if he wasn't there, then how had he been transported and where was everyone else? Last time something like this had happened, he'd ended up on Big Brother that was controlled by daleks. In fact, this place looked way more like a dirt road leading through a forest.
A scream of pain came from somewhere to his left. The Doctor swung round and ran towards the source. It turned out to be a young woman, a little way into the trees, and a griffin stood over her, clawing her repeatedly.
The Doctor leapt into action. Grabbing a branch from the ground, lit it with his sonic screwdriver, and waved it threateningly at the griffin. The griffin screeched angrily at being interrupted, and swung a hooked talon in Doctor's direction. He dodged back and managed to entangle the burning wood in the griffin's mane. It flew away in search of water, leaving Doctor and the woman alone in the clearing.
'Are you ok?' Doctor asked reaching out a hand to help her up.
'I dunno. That thing scratched me up pretty bad.' She replied, taking hold of his hand and managing to stand, shakily. But when she was standing again, she didn't let go.
'Uh… you can let go of my hand now you know.' Doctor told her. 'What's your name anyway?'
She didn't answer, just smiled evilly. 'it doesn't matter what I'M called, and I want waste time on telling you. I just want to know what Time Lords taste like.' She grinned even wider and licked her lips hungrily.
She threw back her head and screeched like the griffin, waiting a moment as the answer came back. Doctor struggled furiously, but the woman's grip was way stronger than iron.
'Two-soul!' He spat.
'Oh, an intelligent meal!' She sneered. 'And that isn't the proper name for us-'
'Yeah yeah I know, you are a Rajehlucrumos, but Two-soul's so much easier to say.'
A great flapping of wings announced the arrival of the griffin.
'Say hello to Brazzle, my other half.' The woman said.
'Now then, THAT was a clever trap.' Doctor said in awe as Brazzle's eyes glinted hungrily. He glanced at the Two-soul, who was mirroring Brazzle's expression. Then his eyes flicked back to the griffin as she screeched and reared up, talons at the ready, about to strike.
