Life, the Universe and Everything
Listen fools: A/N just got boring… anywho I got bored and felt like occupying my uneventful holidays with a pointless fanfic, hopefully eventually getting to a very steamy Zutara scene. But then those who have read my 2 Doctor Who fics know my stories seem to just evolve into a sex scene. XD
Its set some time during Zuko travels alone and I'm completely ignoring the rest of book2 (I think) and book3.
Chapter 1:
He looked up at the setting sun, he should find a site to camp for the night, his stomach growled, and some food. He got down off his ostrich-horse, for the first time in 40 hours, and led it through the trees on the edge of the track. He kept his eyes open for a spot to set up and something to eat.
There was movement in the undergrowth, possibly a chicken-rabbit, He tied up his ride and moved towards the movement.
Within the space of a few, tiring, minutes, he had himself a meal and headed back for his ostrich-horse.
He led his ride further into the forest, it was getting dark and he was losing concentration, and finding it increasingly hard to stay awake, when he heard voices.
"I'm hungry, hurry up." A very familiar male voice said.
"I'm doing my best." Another familiar male voice sounded.
He walked into the clearing, "Maybe I can help."

Sokka was complaining as usual about being hungry.
"I'm doing my best." Said Aang getting annoyed at the pile of wood that just refused to light.
"Maybe I can help." Aang, Sokka and Katara all stood at this.
"Zuko!" Katara hissed, she had taken water from the river running by the campsite and had it formed into two whips. Though she could see the exhaustion in and around his eyes.

Zuko stood there struggling to keep standing. "I bring food." He said then collapsed, from the exhaustion of riding for two days straight with no sleep and very little to eat.

Toph walked into the campsite, she had been finding some food, unsuccessfully, and was surprised to feel Zuko and an ostrich-horse sitting the edge of the group, as harmlessly as asleep as he was, she was still concerned.
"Hey guys you do know Zuko's here right?" she said.
"What really where?" asked Sokka sarcastically.
"He stumbled into our campsite offering food and fire, but he collapsed and fell asleep." Explained Katara.
"And we figured he looked so peaceful, just lying there in an awkward position." Finished Sokka. Toph giggled. "Food?" He said holding up some chicken-rabbit.
"Mmm, food." She grinned.
