Second Hetalia fic ^^featuring my character Laila, and Matheus which is Denmark(I was told it was Matheus, I looked it and there were many result so I decided to go with it)! Happy birthday Anarchygunrage!
The Room was decked out to its finest, white table cloths on each table, the chandelier in the middle of the room illuminating the room into a bright, but warm glow, making the carvings on the wall stand out.
Tonight was a very special occasion, Nytårsaften, New Years Eve. Everyone was mingling and talking, sitting at tables or walking around, whichever they preferred. Two were in a corner, whispering to one another, thankful the music, which for the man's taste was a bit too dull, was loud enough to cover it.
The woman had a strapless light blue dress on, sparkles of a few gems over the top of the breast going down the dress into white elegant pearls. It was a thin dress, making sure her curs were noticed, but still flowing. The man was in a tuxedo, his blonde hair messy as ever, no one could tame that, his blue eyes shining with the promise of excitement. "Just tell them Matheus" the woman reasoned grabbing his hands. He looked down at them noticing the ring that he had given her on her ring finger. "I will Laila, I'm just so….nervous" he admitted. "Its better this way then getting married in secret." She reasoned. He nodded his head. "I don't think my boss will be too happy" he sighed. Laila shook her head. "Screw him, he knows we've been dating for months, it was either we broke up or took it a step further, thank heaven." He nodded. "Right" Matheus took in a nervous, but deep, breath.
Matheus made his way through the crowd, going up and grabbing the Microphone. This got people's attention, so they stopped talking, in the back he could see Laila crossing her fingers." Hey-um everyone-"he began, spinning around a bit, untangling the microphone wire from his legs nearly tripping the waiter behind him. "Whoa sorry there, eh hehe" he coughed. "Well uh, happy Nytårsaften first of all" this got him a round of applause. Though he was nervous he seemed to be a natural at talking in front of people. "I erm, wish you a good one, yeah…erm anyways I have some news- some…pretty big news" he took a deep breath. 'Just tell it straight' he thought to himself. "I'm getin' married!" His boss choked on his drink. "Who's the lucky lady!" cried out a voice from the audience. "Eh hehe, she's right ove-can I get a spotlight? Yeah thanks...anyways she's right there my beautiful Laila" a spotlight landed right on Laila, you could see her cheeks turn pink, possibly due to either the round of applause she got, or the spotlight.
His boss was stammering with what to say. "Hey it's better than us just running away together right? Am I right?" he asked the audience. The audience agreed, laughing slightly. His boss stood up onstage. Matheus covered the microphone, though you could still probably could hear him. "Do we have your blessing?" though He would have married Laila even without, it was still a good thing to hear. "What do you think Matheus?"By now Matheus had let go of the mic. Matheus grinned. "Look forward to a wedding sometime soon!"
