Endgame

The two of them stood upon opposite sides of the valley, glaring at one another, each throwing their very soul into the look in order to gain the upper hand. One stood upon the statue of their forefather, glaring down with red eyes staring down in contempt. The other stood at the feet of the person they personified, staring upwards with his bright blue eyes telling of his feelings of compassion, anger and betrayal that the first boy caused him to feel.

Both were surrounded by darker energies, one surrounded with the perverted human-caused corruption of life's gift, a dark purple chakra swirling around his body; while the other had the purification of one of nature's elements of destruction swirling around him, a rich vibrant orange chakra which lashed out like water in a whirlpool. The one surrounded by purple chakra had a set of hand-like wings protruding out of his back, while the orange chakra around the other had shifted into forming the basic structure of a canine animal.

In the purple one's hand was blackened chakra, screeching with the noise of scared birds in flight from a predator, while upon the orange one's hand was a beautiful orb of blue chakra, it's beauty hiding the power and destruction of it. Both prepared themselves for one final assault on the other, overcharging their respective techniques, before heading towards the other on a collision course.

From a distance, it looked as if an angel was falling to hell, due to temptation of power, while a demon was rising to heaven, seeking redemption for a past mistake. They would meet in between, and their ideals would clash, with the victor being able to complete his journey while the loser would fall to the wayside. After a brief struggle, each completed their journey, the orange one rising upwards to land upon the statue the other was resting upon, while the one of purple landed at the position his rival had stood. One fell, the other stood strong, before succumbing to their wounds.

And so it was that a demon rose to heaven, seeking redemption, while at the same time saving an angel from falling due to temptation by a greater power.

Author's Note: Before anyone says anything, it's written this way on purpose. I don't care for a massive battle - neither of them should have been able to go and battle that long in my version of events, so therefore they don't. Naruto is also much more mature when it comes to experiencing emotion than in canon, as canon Naruto is a retard. Fun to read, awesome shinobi, but has no concept of what actual people can feel emotionally. Plus, both of them, Naruto and Sasuke, are emotionally fucked up - they both drastically need psychiatric help, way before the Sasuke Retrieval Arc.
Secondly, it's an excerpt of a possible fanfic that I merely wish to post. And unlike many other authors, I don't feel the need to compare dick sizes with the length of material used. Description and detailed plots are better than thousands of words of a prolonged battle or conversation, and the best chapters are about maybe 2000 words in length, if that.
