(Skylar POV)

I was sitting by the lake, watching the waves of the Long Island Sound roll by. I finished Battle Strategies early today so Annabeth let me go early. Perks of being her boyfriend's sister. I could hear the Aphrodite girls complaining about how the Hephaestus cabin don't have proper hygiene, The clash of swords over at the battle arena, and of course Calico Rayn's latest rant.

"Nickkky! Come on! We're gonna be late!"

"Late to what?" Nico Di Angelo replied

"Travis is coming back from archery and I have to get him back for doing this to meee!" Calico said motioning to her now cyan-coloured hair.

"Ughhh. I don't want misfortune."

"Come! On!"

I heard them scurry away but I continued to stare at the Sound deciding not to meddle in their love quarrel.

Hahahahaaha. Love Quarrel.

An hour past and I felt a presence sit by me.

"Hey Ky!"

Only one person calls me Ky…..

"Hey Travis!" I turned to him

His hair looked as green as mucus and I swear there's little feathers in it.

"W-What happen?" I laughed

"Calico happened…." He shook his head causing the feathers to dance

"Yeah I see that but how…."

"She rigged a bucket full of blended seaweed and I guess Angelo's snot and it fell on my head. She then threw the feathers in my face."

I laughed. "No way!"

"Yeah now I don't look so macho and smoking hot…" He frowned

"Aww Travv!" I side hugged him "You still look pretty don't worry!"

"But I don't wanna be PRETTY! I wanna be-"

"I know Trav, supermegaultrasexyfoxyhot. I got that." I smirked

"So!" Travis hopped up to his feet, extending a hand to me "We're going for a walk in the woods."

"Shure Trav…Like I'm going to walk in the dark damp terrifying woods-"He pulled me up and towards him

"But you'll be with me Ky. I'll keep you safe."

"Oh-Okay." I blushed a deep red

We walked hand and hand through the woods until we reached what looked like the middle.

"So why'd you bring me here?" I asked

"Because, I wanted to do this."

He grabbed me by the waist and smashed his lips onto mine. His lips were so soft on mine and I could spend lifetimes just kissing him. At first it was a slow, chaste kiss but it quickly it inclined into something magical. But then I pulled back.

"You walked us all the way through the woods just to kiss me?" I said slightly annoyed

"Yup!" He smirked that adorable-NO! - I'm mad at him!

"Why couldn't you just kiss me by the Sound? Are you ASHAMED of me?!"

"What-? No!"

"Then WHY?" I said anger seething out of my teeth

"Because I didn't want Percy to see!"

"LIKE HE GIVES A HADES! HE MAKES OUT WITH ANNABETH IN FRONT OF ME ALL THE TIME!"

"Yeah but…."

"But what Trav?"

"You're his younger sister, he's protective of you and he'll kill me if he saw us kissing."

"I don't know Trav….I mean you can't be scared of him! Not if you want this to work out."

"Come on Ky….you can't just threaten our relationship like this—"

"Yes I can Trav…"

"Feisty! I like the Feisty ones!"

I rolled my eyes. "I need to calm down Trav….I'm sorry…."

"It's cool….we don't need another hurricane….."

I smirked at him and walked out of the woods.

Maybe, just maybe this will work out.
