"You know what sucks?"
"Gee, I don't know. Maybe it's the fact that we're practically starving all the time. Or that we're always sleeping outside. Or that I'm stuck with two idiots who just want to beat each other up." Fuu replied sarcastically.
"Nah, I'm used to all that." Mugen tossed a fishbone over his shoulder carelessly. "It's that we get beat up all the time."
Fuu and Jin glanced at each other and then turned to stare at him. "And you're not used to that?" Fuu asked, incredulous.
"Well, no, I am used to that. I just think it's crap that we get beat up all the time, most of it to save you, by the way," he pointed accusingly at Fuu who simply glared at him, "and we get nothing for it."
"I rather got the impression that you enjoyed beating people up." Jin said.
"I do, but you know, I think we should get something for rescuing her all the time."
"Excuse me?" Fuu stood over Mugen. "I get into half of those situations because of you in the first place!"
"Yeah, so the other half—"
"I cook!" she interjected angrily.
"That doesn't count. We hardly eat!"
"I clean!"
"Not very well." Jin tossed in casually and Fuu turned to glower at him.
"See?" Mugen crowed.
"Fine!" she huffed and sat back down. "What do you want, then? Did you want me to work or something?"
"Nah, that's useless, no one would hire you." Mugen ducked as she threw a stick at him.
"Well what then?" Seeing the look on his face, she held up a hand. "And no, sex is not allowed."
"As if I'd ask for that!" he ignored Jin's cough of disbelief. "Maybe you could, I don't know… flash us every now and again."
Fuu opened her mouth but no words came out. Mugen glanced over at her and scoffed, "It's not like you've got anything to show anyway."
Mugen's reflexes weren't as good the second time around, unable to dodge the projectiles Fuu threw at him before stalking away in a huff.
Mugen rubbed his head and groaned, "What? It's not like I said anything that wasn't true!"
Jin shrugged his shoulders in reply. "Maybe you could just approach the subject more… delicately next time."
Mugen nodded in agreement. "Mmm, finesse might be the key."
"…Where did you learn the word 'finesse'?"
